There are lots of bargains out there for the canny shopper.
We were shopping in our local home bargains and we were looking for some new cups for our caravan.
Earlier in the year we had decided that melamine wasn't good enough for a decent cuppa, so we went shopping and found 2 perfect cups in Home Bargains.
So later in the year we said, let's get some more for when we have guests in our caravan.
Our local store only had 1 cup in the same plain design that we wanted.

Originally it was 69p but after it had been damaged, some enterprising manager decided that they couldn't sell it for the full price and discounted it to 49p.
I'm sure I'm not alone in saying "just chuck it in the bin!"
Am I wrong?
Have I fallen in the trap of this throwaway society or are some things simply unsaleable after they become damaged?
