Our 47th trip - CLDA rally to Royal Umpire nr. Croston camping and caravan club.

Another 2 nights from 9th to 11th May 2014
Not much happened.
It rained, we relaxed and we had another venture to The Sherry Club.
We are beginning to get a reputation and will have to buy our own Sherry for our next trip.
Well, you've got to fit in, haven't you?

Our 46th Trip - Glebe Farm - Astbury near Congleton

Another c&cc rally weekend away with the CLDA (central Lancashire District Association) and also NECDA (North East Cheshire District Association) at Glebe Farm - Astbury near Congleton.
This is 149 nights in the caravan since we bought it 3 years ago.
Another Bank Holiday weekend 2/5/14 to 5/5/14 and we met up with our new friends from the CLDA.
Upon arrival the steward from Necda spotted that we had children and correctly guessed that we had arranged to meet up with the youth rally for clda and told us to follow the other steward and he took us up to a small secluded field which we were told was for the 7 expected vans for the youth rally.
As I am backing into my pitch, Nick appeared and was almost shooing us off. He spoke with Diane and told her that the field was reserved for the youth and we shouldn't be there. Diane recognised Nick from 2 weeks previous (Park Fold Farm) and said that we had sat opposite him 2 weeks ago and didn't he recognise us?
This subject matter was brought up several times over the next 3 days and I'm sorry if Nick was embarrassed, but it was a funny story. Unbeknownst to us, Nick had phoned Tina and she had said to get rid of us. It won't be that easy!
Sherry was on the agenda, then a cocktail birthday party then drinks till 3.30am. then a night in the barn for a disco and a tipple then a meeting to discuss NFOL with sherry, then back to the barn for a toast with wine and dancing and some rousing speeches, with a drop of beer. I'll need a week away to rejuvinate my liver.
All our kids had a go at camping in a tent which they really enjoyed.
Thanks for the loan of the pop up tent, Tina and Pete.
Another fantastic weekend made even better with the fabulous company. Thanks to you all at the CLDA.
